In this episode of the Vlog, I try out the D20 workout by Nerdstrong. I've been following their Instagram for a awhile and I love their theme workouts that they do. 

Labyrinth was one of my earliest fantasy movies that I watched growing up. My favorite character was Sir Didymus the fox knight. As much as I loved the movie, I don't really like this shirt. My mom saw me opening the box and she loved it. She's a fan of the movie and she loves Bowie. This month is also when Guam holds the annual Relay For Life event. It's an event and fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The colors for Relay For Life is purple and she'll will wear this to the event.

The Harry Potter item is a pair of socks. On the socks are Voldemort's horcruxes. I decided to give these to my little sister. She would wear this more than I would.

Skol! If you watched Vikings, you will hear that word every time they pick up a drinking horn. Now I have my very own.

Next up is a Nathan Drake poster from the Uncharted series. I haven't played any of the Uncharted games and it's a shame. Shame on me! Not sure if this will push me to buy the game but if someone wants to let me borrow it, I will not decline. This game releases on May 10th. 

One of my favorite items in this box is a D20 ice mold. I've been seeing the Death Star mold online and I've been wanting something similar. Thankfully, the universe has obliged. Combined with the Avengers ice mold my drinks will be a lot more nerdier in the future. 

This pin is a shield with a d20 in the middle. It's my favorite pin so far this month. They also made alternate pins that were all gold. A friend of mine received a gold pin but I do not have a picture. You can also pick up a Gelatinous Cube companion if you play the Dungeon and Dragons MMO Neverwinter. I might look into this game now since it's free to play.

Final Thoughts

This month's box was great, even though I received two items I wouldn't normally use. Since I could give them to family members, it was definitely worth it. The d20 ice mold and the Vikings drinking horn are my favorite items.

This month's theme was, Fantasy, which makes me think of epic quests, wizards and Dungeons & Dragons.

This month's box takes the form of a wooden table with map, sword and coins on it. The map looks to be in the same style as Game of Thrones. The small Goblin and cobwebs details are cool too.

This shirt is one my favorite items from this month Loot Crate. I'm a big fan of D&D and other pencil and paper RPGs. My friends are going to start up a new 5th edition game soon, and this shirt will go well with the campaign. 


In keeping with the fantasy theme, an inflatable crown, Harry Potter luggage tag and a D&D bow-tie were also included. I didn't care for the crown since I don't have a use for it. Maybe I will be able to use it for Halloween this year. The luggage tag is cool, might need to replace my Yoda tag I bought in Korea. I really like the D&D bow-tie but I don't have a use for it at the moment. The design is unique with a fabric pattern is made up of D20's and Dragons. I need to find more reasons to wear all the nerd formal wear I received from Loot Crate.


The Princess Bride themed playing cards are great. I have seen the Princess Bride once or twice when I was younger but this card set makes me want to watch it again. The illustrations are detailed and all the face cards are unique. I like to keep a deck of cards around just in case someone wants to play an impromptu poker game.

Final Thoughts

I believe this month's crate was worth it. I would have preferred something from Lord of the Rings instead of Harry Potter but it's not a deal breaker. The D&D shirt, and Game of Thrones items are my favorites this month. Hopefully next months crate is just as great as this one. The twentieth of each month brings childlike excitement. My subscription box called Loot Crate is in the mail and on its way to my mail box. What is Loot Crate you ask? "Loot Crate is the monthly gear and swag club for those that live and embrace the geek and gaming lifestyle". I love this concept since it makes every month feel like Christmas. I really like this months theme and the contents of this box. The dragon shield screen wiper is something I really need. The "dragon jerky" and dog tags are cool as well. I haven't tried the jerky yet but I'm sure its going to be good. The D20 foam die is very cool. I may have to use it in a future DnD game. The random item was the Game of Thrones vinyl figure blind box. I pulled Rob Stark. He wasn't the character I wanted but it's cool. I also picked up "The Nord" from the elder scrolls series. I think it's a promo for the upcoming MMORPG set in the Elder Scrolls universe. I can't wait for next months crate!
